What is a Lifestyle mixer?

LifeStyle mixers are typically private parties for sexually open couples and females.  Lifestyle mixers are often held in local lounges, bars or hotels. The goal of a lifestyle mixer is to bring together sensually open couples and females in one location. Mixers create a great opportunity for a couple to test chemistry, flirt and determine if it makes sense to follow the momentum to a more private meeting.

Mixers are a great way to explore the lifestyle and meet other open couples and singles on neutral territory with very little pressure to play. There is typically no on-site sexual activity at a Lifestyle mixer. Any sex that takes place, will occur in the privacy of a couples home or hotel room. Discretion is always the rule in public or private-public venues.

What is an on-premises Lifestyle party?

An on-premises lifestyle or swingers party is a party where the venue is not only designated for meeting and greeting but also as the primary location for sexual play. At an on-premises lifestyle party, it is not uncommon to see many couples involved in one sexual act or another within plain site of the other attendees. On-premises parties are usually held in a private home or hotel suite and not in a public venue.

For the record, LifeIcing lifestyle mixers are NOT on-premises parties. Our parties are for meeting, flirting and testing chemistry between consenting adults. Any sexual activity must take place in the privacy of our guest's home or hotel room. There is NEVER any sexual activity at our Lifestyle parties. Our events are for like minded people to meet in a safe and open atmosphere.

Are Swinging and Lifestyle the same thing?

The short answer to that question is yes, swinging and lifestyle are typically considered the same thing. However, the label of "swinger" is not used as often as it once was. Most open couples and singles will consider themselves a Lifestyle couple or Lifestyle single rather than a swinger. To us, the term swinger brings to mind the less than sexy couples on HBO's Real Sex. If you have attended any of our Lifestyle mixers, you are very aware that most Lifestyle couples and singles are very attractive, typically in great shape, highly educated and very classy.

How should you dress for a Lifestyle mixer?

When pulling your outfit together for a Lifestyle mixer, the general rule would be to dress as if you were going out a to club or lounge in the vanilla world. Women typically wear a sexy dress, skirt or jeans with a flattering top. The goal is to dress sexy but not over the top slutty although slutty is perfectly fine if that works best for you.

Guys typically wear nice jeans or slacks and fitted dress shirt. No shorts and no tank tops. Once again, wear what you would normally wear if you were going out for a night clubbing or dancing.

Bottom line, wear what makes you feel sexy. If you are comfortable with a low cut top and you can pull it off, go for it. The idea is to feel sexy so that you can be sexy.

Am I expected to have sex? 

Absolutely not! Sex is never expected or an obligation. If you feel the chemistry and momentum, we say go for it. If not, go home. There is nothing worse than regretting what or who you did the night before. If you are not feeling it, a simple "no thank you" will work just fine with most Lifestyle couples and singles.

Our Lifestyle mixers are designed to create a no pressure atmosphere where you can meet, flirt and test the chemistry without obligation to do anything more than makes sense for you. We cannot stand pressure and do our best to create an environment where chemistry and momentum can make magic happen. THERE IS NO SEX OR PRESSURE TO HAVE SEX AT OUR PARTIES!

What about privacy?

The privacy of our guests and our venue is a top priority. Our parties are invitation only and there is always a strictly enforced guest list. We never post photos of our Lifestyle mixer attendees without their permission to do so. Your information will never be shared with any other attendee.

Just as with our guests, we have the Lifestyle part of our life is private. We make every effort to keep our Lifestyle mixers private, secure and very discreet. There is always security at the door. If you are not on our list, you may not attend the party.

What are the typical ages of Lifestyle mixer attendees?

Our guest range in age from 21 to 60 with the vast majority of our guests being early 30's to mid 40's. We do our best to invite and include a wide range of ages so that no group feels left out or out of place.

What if we want to take things to the next level?

We highly encourage our guests to book a room near the venue. For our San Diego Gaslamp Lifestyle mixers, we recommend any of the downtown hotels. They are all a short walk or cab ride to our venues.

We want to be sure to respect our venue partners. If you meet a great couple or single and the chemistry is flowing, please take any actual sex  back to your hotel room. Of course kissing, dancing, flirting and general sensual discovery are all allowed at the party. Our parties are not sex parties but a place to meet other open minded people.

Get a room people! It better to plan for play and have a place to take things to the next level if you so choose.

Are there typically organized after parties?

Our Lifestyle mixer attendees will typically arrange small after parties back at their hotel room. Trust us, if they want you there, you will get a subtle invite to the after party. The best route is to book your own room and host the after party at your hotel.  When in doubt, ask around. Someone will know where the after parties will be held if any are in the works.

Many Lifestle mixers will have an organized after party at a hotel suite. Guests may be asked to chip in on the suite costs. We don't typically organize after parties. We prefer to let our guests arrange their own private suites and after parties.

Are all LifeIcing Lifestyle parties held in San Diego?

We are hoping to host Lifestyle mixers throughout the U.S. Our typical Lifestyle mixers are held in San Diego because we live here and many Lifestyle couples vacation in the area. With that said, we plan to hold future Lifestyle mixers in San Francisco, New Orleans, Scottsdale, Chicago, Seattle and New York City.
